Benvenuti al Vino e Whiskers! Join us for an evening of fun and excitement to support the animals of Benton County! Our 7th Annual Wine & Whiskers features both live and silent auctions, and a plated dinner with dessert and complimentary wine. All funds benefit Heartland Humane Society. Tickets are now available and can be purchased online by clicking the Buy Tickets link above, directly at the shelter, or by phone, 541-757-9000. Please purchase your tickets by February 1. The deadline for donated auction items is January 8, 2010. While the final catalog won’t be available until one week before the event, just for visiting our site we will let you in on a few exciting items: Disneyland Theme Park Tickets, Slumber Party at the Shelter, and a fused glass bowl by Laurel Yourkowski. Plus, we have lots of fun trips and experiences! All funds raised support Heartland Humane Society. At Heartland we serve the animals and families of Benton County. Our mission is to build a more compassionate community by teaching humane messages to our youth, caring for homeless animals and strengthening the human-animal bond. Heartland's educators reach hundreds of Benton County youth through humane education programs in schools, shelter clubs and camps, and through youth volunteering opportunities. Due to these on-going efforts we hope to break the link of animal abuse, child abuse and violence passed through generations because these programs instill a sense of respect, appreciation, responsibility and empathy for others, along with a new commitment to all living creatures.
